Little did we know that we would be out of the country when one of the most significant ball games in the 2014 season would be played in Starkville. Number 2 against number 3. With the winner possibly having the inside track to represent the SEC West in Atlanta and even making the final 4.
I am just glad it is a 2:30 kick. at least we can watch it on the computer.
Long story short. Europe won out. We left Auburn after the LSU game (Auburn 41 - LSU 7) and drove to Atlanta, Ga. The next day we traveled to Andrews AFB in Washington. They had no flights across during our travel window. McGuire AFB had a couple to Germany and Shannon, Ireland. We went to McGuire on Monday, declared our selves present for the Spangdahlem flight to Germany and in a few hours we were on a C5, heading across the Atlantic.
We had an uneventful crossing. Upon arrival, we checked in to the Eifel Inn to rest, recover and plan our adventure. Our plan is to drive to Salzburg, Austria and take the Sound of Music tour. Should be fun.
When you travel "Space A", it is 3 adventures in 1. Where are you leaving from, where are you going, what are you going to do when you get there, and how are you going to get home? Follow this blog and I will answer those questions.
